Donut has been being a favorite for breakfast, dessert or even just as a snack. The demand has increased so rapidly that it is now available in almost all imaginable flavors. If you are so in love with donuts, try this super easy homemade donut recipe which will save you a trip to the donut shop.

A. 7 cups flour, 2 tbsp yeast, 1 tsp salt, 1/2 cup sugar, 2 cups scalded milk, 1/2 cup warm water, 4 eggs (beaten)
B. 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted), 1/2 cup shortening, 1 tsp vanilla, 3 cups sugar powder
C. 1 quart edible oil for frying

NOTE:

1. For personal preference, you can substitute honey for sugar
2. You can coat the donuts with chocolate, cinnamon powder, peanut butter or coconut shred for its various flavors.

Directions

☆ Mix A and stir gently till the dough is not sticky.
☆ When waiting the dough finishes ferment, mix B together for glaze later.
☆ After the dough is ready, add the 1 cup of the remaining flour in it and keep kneading until the dough is smooth and elastic enough.
☆ Roll out the dough, shape donuts with doughnut cutter.
☆ Heat the oil to 350 degrees, fry donuts 2 sides evenly until golden brown. Remove and drain.
☆ Dip donuts in the glaze done in step2, remove and drain.
☆ Ready to serve warm or cool.
